Some of the most influential names in music are making a comeback with fresh tunes, a new generation of fans, and a surge in popularity.

Exciting Lineup Announced:

Headlining this year’s Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) from August 16 to September 2 is Sloan, one of Canada’s top-selling bands from 1996 to 2016. This JUNO and East Coast Music Awards-winning band will kick off Opening Day, Friday, August 16, with renowned guitarist Paul Langlois of The Tragically Hip as their opening act.

Fans can also look forward to rocking out with Big Wreck on August 28. The indie collective The New Pornographers, joined by special guests Born Ruffians from Toronto, will perform on August 24. Montreal rockers Half Moon Run will headline on August 26. These additions join an already stellar lineup featuring iconic bands like Manchester Orchestra, Down With Webster, and April Wine.

Grammy-winning rapper Big Boi, best known as one-half of the groundbreaking group OutKast, will bring his high-energy performance to the Bell CNE Bandshell on August 25. This will be Big Boi’s first and only Canadian stop announced for his 2023/24 tour.

Last year’s debut of the Drag EXtravaganza at the CNE was a massive hit, and it returns even fiercer with a blend of comedy, fashion, and entertainment. Tynomi Banks will lead the charge, with musical performances by classically trained opera singer and composer Sapphira Cristál.

Don’t miss Soca Night on August 29, headlined by internationally renowned Soca stars Destra and Farmer Nappy from Trinidad and Tobago, with DJ Dr. Jay and more. A newly added tribute to Bob Marley will feature Classic Albums Live performing his celebrated album “Legend,” with Canadian reggae favorite Jay Douglas opening.

The CNE offers a plethora of music concerts with indie-folk-pop singer Ruby Waters, 2024 JUNO Songwriter of the Year artist Aysanabee, acclaimed country music siblings The Reklaws, and recently announced powerhouse Brittany Howard (of Alabama Shakes) alongside country star Mackenzie Porter.
