Celebrate Canada Day in Brampton

The City of Brampton is excited to celebrate Canada Day in Brampton!

Residents can enjoy family-friendly activities including taking a bounce on one of the many different large inflatable rides, games and slides and spend the day enjoying all that Chinguacousy Park has to offer!  Enjoy delicious food, shop retail vendors and catch performances from local groups.  

Hosted by Jesse Jones and presented by Malar Group, this year’s Canada Day main stage includes performances by In Tempo, dynamic DJ duo MixSignals, Brampton artist Ajhani Azure and Punjabi hip-hop artist Ikky. Headlining this year’s event is international artist known for her quadruple-platinum generational anthem Paper Planes, Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A.

End the night with a spectacular fireworks display presented by Tim Hortons. The safety of residents is the City’s top priority. Under the fireworks by-law, fireworks are no longer permitted in Brampton, with the exception of City-led events. Sparklers are permitted. Recently, the City of Brampton announced a plan to hire 38 additional By-law Enforcement Officers and two support positions. These positions will support responding to service requests. Residents can call 3-1-1, download the 311 Brampton app or visit us online at brampton.ca to submit a service request.

Getting to and from the event

Road closures will be in effect and on-site parking will be limited. Residents are encouraged to walk, ride their bikes or park at alternative locations. Take advantage of the free Brampton Transit Shuttle Services from one of our four shuttle locations: 

  • Mount Pleasant GO Station 
  • Trinity Common Mall 
  • Sheridan College  
  • Gore Meadows Community Centre 

The shuttle service operates every 30 minutes on July 1, from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
