The City of Brampton is hosting its annual Winter Lights Festival, presented by Fieldgate Developments, on November 17 and 18 to kick off the holiday season. The event offers free, family-friendly activities, including stage performances, the official Tree Lighting ceremony, amusement rides, holiday markets, and more. On Friday, admission is free with the donation of a new unwrapped toy in support of local Brampton organizations. The highlights of the event include:
Friday, November 17:
- Miracle on Main Street (6 – 10 pm): Featuring winter lights displays, amusement rides, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
- Market on Main (6 – 10 pm): A market where you can shop for unique and handcrafted items from local businesses.
- Official Tree Lighting Ceremony (6:45 PM): Experience the magic of the holiday season with the official tree lighting ceremony at Ken Whillans Square, featuring a 60ft spruce tree illuminated with more than 10,000 lights.
Saturday, November 18:
- Winter Artist Market hosted by the Brampton Arts Organization (BAO) (11 AM – 5 PM): Shop one-of-a-kind works from Brampton artists and arts organizations, enjoy live music, and participate in free, festive activities for the whole family.
- Brampton Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton (5 PM): The Santa Claus parade takes place on Bramalea Road.
